I actually purchased these in black for my living room before I purchased these. They work really well and they don't ruin your furniture. They are also easy to set up with tape (3M) which attaches to a hook which then catches the latch of the "lock" on the door or drawer. Even my 3 year old who pulls on the doors constantly can't shake these loose. Simply put the magnet near the lock and it releases allowing you to open the door. So easy to use.
